Austin Fraser is seeking an experienced Strategic Planning Consultant to join their team in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering expert planning advice and ensuring successful outcomes for clients. As a Strategic Planning Consultant, you'll be responsible for managing planning applications, producing robust reports, and advising clients on current and emerging planning legislation and policies.

  1. Manage planning applications, including preparing and submitting documents.
  2. Provide expert planning advice to clients, ensuring they understand relevant planning legislation and policies.
  3. Support business development activities, securing repeat work, and building strong client relationships.

This is a varied role that offers the chance to work across multiple planning sectors, including land development, industrial sites, and listed buildings.

About You:

We're looking for professionals with a strong grounding in planning and a drive to excel. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a planning discipline (RTPI membership preferred), at least 3 years of relevant experience in local authority or the private sector, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
