About the Role

In this challenging yet rewarding role, you will be working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). As a SEND Casework Practitioner, your primary focus will be on managing and overseeing the statutory process for Education, Health, and Care Needs Assessments, ensuring that all legal requirements are met.



Responsibilities
  1. Assessment Process Management: Oversee the assessment process for Education, Health, and Care Needs Assessments, guaranteeing compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  2. Educational Planning: Collaborate with educational institutions to develop personalized Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) tailored to meet the unique needs and aspirations of each child or young person.
  3. Partner Agency Liaison: Foster strong relationships with families, schools, colleges, and other organizations to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  4. Professional Guidance: Offer expert guidance and support to families, schools, and partner agencies on SEND-related matters.
  5. Quality Assurance: Regularly review and audit the SEND process to ensure it meets the highest standards of quality and compliance.
  6. Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with healthcare, social care, and education professionals to provide comprehensive support for children and young people with EHCPs.
  7. Policy Implementation: Contribute to the development and implementation of SEND policies and procedures within the Education and Inclusion Service.
  8. Training and Consultation: Deliver training sessions and workshops to enhance understanding and adherence to SEND processes among schools, colleges, and other stakeholders.
  9. High-Quality Plan Creation: Produce exceptional EHC plans by applying person-centered planning principles and analyzing diverse information sources.

Remuneration: Up to £28,000 per month (£260-300 per day)
