Job Summary:

Academics Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will provide essential support to students with social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance and supervision to students with challenging behavior during the school day.
  • Support students' learning and participation in class, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Encourage the development of social skills and support students' individual needs.
  • Help build confidence and motivation in students.
  • Participate in team meetings and training programs as an active member of the team.
  • Maintain progress records and support regulations pertaining to safeguarding.

Requirements:

  • An Undergraduate Degree in a relevant subject, such as Psychology or Criminology.
  • Knowledge and/or a keen interest in the range of different types of learning and behavioral needs.
  • Good general education levels in English and Maths, with A Levels being preferable.
  • A co-operative working style and a proactive approach to solving problems.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with a caring attitude.
  • Flexibility in terms of working patterns.
