About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a DBI Practitioner. As a key member of our Distress Brief Intervention (DBI) team, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to young people in distress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate and person-centered support to young people referred to the DBI service
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to address the needs of each young person
  • Work collaboratively with primary care, education, and police Scotland to ensure seamless referrals and support
  • Provide training and guidance to front-line staff on DBI level 1 and 2 interventions
  • Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of the DBI service to ensure high-quality support and outcomes
Requirements
  • Experience working with children and young people with complex issues, including trauma, mental health, and child protection
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multiple partner agencies
  • Ability to provide safe and effective support to individuals in distress, with a focus on promoting positive outcomes and well-being
  • Training in Level 2 Distress Brief Intervention, with a willingness to continue professional development
  • Access to a car, with a valid driver's license
