Care Assistant Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at St Olaf, a leading care home in the Eastern Highlands. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, many of whom live with dementia, strokes, or Parkinson's disease.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Provide person-centered care and support to residents, promoting their independence and well-being
* Assist in creating a caring environment and participate in general activities of the home
* Adhere to Meallmore Standards, Policies, and Procedures, as well as National Care Standards
* Collaborate with care staff and wider teams to ensure seamless care delivery
* Carry out personal care duties, including bathing, dressing, and toileting

**Desirable Skills**

* Working towards SSSC registration requirements
* SVQ level 2 or above/equivalent in Health and Social Care (as per SSSC guidelines)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A kind and caring nature
