About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Worker to join our team at CrossReach, providing support and care to older adults in our care home. As a key worker for designated service users, you will be responsible for developing and reviewing care plans, assisting with personal and intimate care, and helping with the use of any aids or equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review care plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for service users
- Assist with personal and intimate care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Help service users with the use of aids and equipment, such as walkers and wheelchairs
- Liaise with health professionals as needed to ensure comprehensive care
- Support mental and physical activities, such as exercise and social events
- Maintain a high standard of personal environment and effects
- Monitor nutritional needs and ensure service users receive adequate nutrition
- Answer emergency calls and respond to service user needs
- Communicate effectively with visitors and other staff members
Requirements
- Hold or be working towards an SVQ 3 in Social Care
- Basic computer literacy skills
- Respect for Christian worship and ability to facilitate service users' attendance at worship
- Ability to work on a rota basis, including weekends and evenings
- Compliance with all Health and Safety regulations
