About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Recovery Support Worker to join our team at Beach House, a high support housing service providing recovery and rehabilitation to individuals with enduring mental health backgrounds.

As a Recovery Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting service users to achieve their recovery goals, develop personal support plans, and access community resources. You will work collaboratively with the service user's circle of support to ensure they receive holistic care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide recovery-focused support to service users, including administering medication, daily record keeping, and incident report writing.
  • Run group activities and support service users to participate in community events.
  • Work with the service user's circle of support to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Uphold the cleanliness of the service and adhere to infection prevention control measures.
  • Work in a flexible manner on a roster basis, including office hours, evenings, and weekends.
Requirements

We are looking for a compassionate and proactive individual with a genuine desire to support individuals in their recovery. Previous experience in the mental health sector is desirable but not essential. You will have excellent communication skills, be able to work collaboratively with others, and have a can-do attitude.
