About The Role
Carriages, a unique restaurant experience in the heart of Herefordshire, is seeking a professional Chef de Partie/Junior Sous to complement our fine dining experience. We require an enthusiastic chef with a passion for food and a commitment to delivering exceptional dishes to our customers. Our restaurant offers great onsite facilities, including a subsidised restaurant and free on-site gym, as well as a group pension scheme, income protection, life assurance, private healthcare, and free parking with access to charge electric cars. The successful candidate will work a 37.5 hour week, providing a great work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setting up the kitchen prior to the restaurant opening.
  • Ensuring the adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations.
  • Preparing ingredients that should be frequently available.
  • Preparing food orders as they come into the kitchen.
  • Controlling and managing stock.
  • Wrapping unused items and storing them in proper areas at the end of the shift.
  • Cleaning the kitchen before the restaurant closes.
  • Enforcing strict health and hygiene standards.
