We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to join our research team at The University of Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the advancement of our understanding of immunometabolism, with a focus on adipose tissue immunity.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with our Principal Investigators to design and execute research protocols, including in vivo infections, flow cytometry, and molecular biology techniques. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborating with internal and external researchers.

This position involves contributing to the analysis of data, preparing results for publication, and contributing to the publication of research findings in top-tier journals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute research protocols, including in vivo infections and flow cytometry
  • Contribute to the analysis of data and preparation of results for publication
  • Collaborate with internal and external researchers on project development and implementation
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A strong background in immunology, metabolism, or a related field
  • Experience with in vivo models of infection and immunology-related techniques
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
