About the Role:

Our college supports students with Severe Learning Disability, predominantly Autism, non-verbal or limited verbal communication. Our students require full support with their day-to-day needs, including school activities, personal care, and accessing the community. You will work closely with our experienced teaching staff to provide individualized support and create a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one support to students with Severe Learning Disability
  • Assist with personal care and daily living skills
  • Support students with accessing the community and participating in school activities
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to students
Requirements:
  • Previous experience supporting students with Autism, Down Syndrome, and non-verbal learners
  • Experience working with SEMH/BESD students and dealing with challenging behavior
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to support students with complex needs
