Job Description

This post involves working with surgical patients throughout the pre-operative and post-operative periods, undertaking a nurse-led admission and discharge role. The successful candidate will be expected to complete Band 5 day surgery competencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete Band 5 Competency Framework for Day Surgery.
  • Work collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement care plans as appropriate to surgical requirements and patient's condition.
  • Monitor and assess patients' conditions, responding to changes in condition, proposing/making changes to care plans as required.
  • Administer drugs as prescribed, adhering to local policies and management guidelines.

The estimated salary for this role is £34,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
