Job Title: Business Tutor

We are seeking a dedicated Business Tutor to join our team at HMP & YOI Bronzefield, a women's prison in the UK. As a Business Tutor, you will play a vital role in empowering female prisoners to develop their entrepreneurial skills and prepare them for successful reintegration into the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist learners in developing their knowledge and skills to successfully complete accredited training programs.
  • Collaborate with learners to formulate their business ideas into comprehensive business plans and support them in achieving a Business Startup qualification.
  • Plan, create, and develop learners' entrepreneurial ideas, preparing them for successful implementation upon release.
  • Challenge negative behavior, boost self-esteem, and provide a supportive environment to foster personal growth.
  • Enhance prisoners' employability and reduce re-offending through skill development and training.
  • Oversee prisoners in the workshop, ensuring effective coordination of work and training locations.
  • Ensure safe working practices for new prisoners, maintaining a secure and productive environment.
Requirements:
  • Be highly organized.

  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to best practice in equalities and diversity.
  • Ability to instruct effectively.
