Estates and Legal Advisor Role

Sue Ross Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Estates and Legal Advisor to join their private client advisory team. This is a key role within the team, requiring a strong understanding of estate management, tax, and legal principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Portfolio Management: Actively manage a portfolio of estates, from start to finish, with support from senior colleagues as needed.
  • Support and Guidance: Support other team members with the management of more complex estates, providing guidance and expertise as required.
  • Tax and Legal Compliance: Prepare IHT returns for estates, and review less complex cases for others as needed.
  • Team Leadership: Support the Estate Director with the management of the estate team, processes, and delivery of work.
  • Document Drafting: Support with legal drafting of wills, and take will instructions when appropriate.
  • Project Management: Support with the drafting of LPAs, and lead the project management of delivery from start to finish when required.
  • Technical Expertise: Support with the drafting of trusts and other legal documents, as needed.
  • Review and Quality Assurance: Review work of others, as required, to ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Business Development: Support the Private Client team and other members of the firm with technical skills, management skills, marketing, and networking.
  • Ad Hoc Duties: Perform any other duties as requested by the firm.
