The role requires leading a team of engineers and designers to deliver water-related projects, including supply, treatment, and distribution. Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating pilot studies and condition assessments of water infrastructure
  • Evaluating process technology for water treatment plant upgrades
  • Designing water distribution projects, including pumping stations and distribution mains
  • Overseeing civil, hydraulic, and mechanical aspects, guiding architectural, structural, and electrical disciplines
  • Assessing market trends to support business development activities related to water projects
  • Mentoring junior water process and design staff
  • Participating in professional organizations and presenting at conferences

The qualified candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering with 8 years of experience or a related field. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required, along with proven experience in water-related project planning, design, and construction.

The ideal location for this position is within AECOM's Northeast Region (New England, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey). A Master's Degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering is highly preferred, as well as 10 years of extensive project experience in municipal water planning and design.
