Job Title: Bridge Engineering Technical Director

We are seeking a highly experienced Bridge Engineering Technical Director to join our Civil Structure and Bridges team in Redhill. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of bridge engineering projects, developing and maintaining excellent client relationships, and contributing to the growth and development of our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the delivery of bridge engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering solutions that meet their expectations.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of our business, identifying new opportunities and developing strategies to win new work.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality projects, sharing knowledge and expertise to drive innovation and excellence.
  • Assist in the development of technical excellence, through training, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements:
  • Chartered engineer (MICE or MIStructE) with extensive experience in civil and structural engineering.
  • Proven track record of delivering bridge engineering projects, with experience of National Highways and/or Network Rail procedures.
  • Knowledge and experience in contracts and contractual issues, with a strong understanding of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCDHW).
  • Excellent communication, client handling, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients at all levels.
