Waterman Group is seeking a highly skilled Bridge Design Expert to join our team in Redhill. As a key member of our Bridges team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality bridge design projects and providing technical leadership to junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor teams on bridge design projects, including feasibility studies, detailed designs, and contract documents.
  • Provide technical support to the Technical Director and contribute to business development and marketing activities.
  • Collaborate with other bridge teams to ensure efficient and successful project delivery.
  • Proactively identify and implement innovative solutions to improve efficiency and project outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Chartered engineer (MICE or MIStructE) with considerable post-professional experience in civil and structural engineering.
  • Project management and technical delivery lead of small to medium schemes, with detailed experience of National Highways and/or Network Rail procedures.
  • Strong technical design and practical problem-solving skills.
  • Proven working knowledge of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCDHW) in relation to structural schemes and/or Network Rail design procedures.
