Join our client in Glasgow as a Finance Analyst.

Lusona LLP is partnering with a service sector client to source an FP&A Analyst. This opportunity is a fixed-term contract until February 2025. You will be part of the finance team, focusing on financial planning and budgeting processes.

  • You will develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, taking the lead in preparing and consolidating annual budgets.
  • Analyse budget submissions from entities against current financial performance, forecast outturn, and strategic goals/targets.
  • Identify key drivers of variance and provide actionable insights to Group.
  • You will support the preparation of financial budget reports and dashboards for management, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support the month-end reporting process and develop local entity reporting from group data submissions.
  • Collaborate with the wider finance community to support strategic goals and ensure alignment with financial goals, including integrating acquired entities into the Group Reporting process.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis as requested by senior management, including scenario planning and sensitivity analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve reporting efficiency, actively developing dashboards/BI reporting to support financial and business performance analysis.
  • E nsure financial reporting is insightful, accurate, and professionally presented.

This role requires immediate availability and at least 5 years of experience within an FP&A or finance-related role. Proficiency in developing and improving financial modelling and analysis tools is essential, as well as strong Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs, index, match). VBA skills are desirable. You should have excellent analytical ability, along with strong written and verbal communication skills, to excel in a collaborative fast-paced environment.
