About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Learning Disability team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients in the Swansea area, working closely with a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive psychiatric services.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will have a broad base of experience in psychiatry, including knowledge of UK hospital systems and expertise in the treatment of mental disorders in people with learning disabilities. You will be able to apply your knowledge and skills to manage acute psychiatric presentations, work effectively with patients and colleagues, and communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of clinical governance, research, teaching, and management principles, with a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development. You will be able to work flexibly and effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing your time efficiently to meet the needs of the service.
