**Join Our Team:** Consultant in Adult Community Psychiatry
We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and leading mental health services within our community.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will have a strong understanding of current psychiatry and mental health developments, as well as knowledge of change management, legislation, and contemporary mental health issues. You should also have experience in purchaser/provider contractual arrangements and be familiar with the use of the Mental Health Act 1983 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
What We Offer:
A competitive salary of £83,214 - £117,667 per annum, depending on experience, and 33 days annual leave (pro-rata) are just some of the benefits we offer. You will also have access to career development and training opportunities, relocation support, and a chance to work with a multidisciplinary team to drive change in mental health services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and leading mental health services within the community
- Working closely with the multidisciplinary management team to drive change in mental health services
- Implementing effective change management strategies
Requirements:
- Be on the Specialist Register with the GMC in Adult Psychiatry or eligible for CCT within 6 months
- Hold a teaching qualification or higher qualification in medical education
- Have experience as an Approved Clinician under the Mental Health Act 1983
- Develop and commission local mental health services
- Have research experience in mental health
