About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Newcastle upon Tyne. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for providing cost control advice to design teams and clients, ensuring informed decisions are supported by accurate data.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide timely advice to clients and project teams on cost management and control.
  2. Prepare and analyze budgets and cost plans to ensure accurate project valuations.
  3. Manage costs and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  4. Prepare, validate, and agree interim valuations and final accounts.
  5. Produce monthly reports and savings reports for internal records.
  6. Manage risk and ensure contract change control.
  7. Estimate costs and attend/lead contract meetings.
  8. Work with the Senior Leadership Team to grow this element of the business.
About You

We are looking for a qualified Quantity Surveyor with 5 years post-grad experience, who is able to work on initiative with minimal supervision. You will have a good knowledge of construction contracts, particularly JCT Form of Contract, and excellent communication skills to build relationships quickly with colleagues and clients.
