An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Estimator to join a forward thinking, leading MEP contractor, with a head office based in London.

As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in assessing costs for projects and providing accurate estimates to support project planning and execution.

**Responsibilities of this role**:
This is an office based role in London, however ad hoc overseas travel will be required on an ad hoc basis. Reporting into the head of estimating, you will be assigned to Data Centre projects (UK and Overseas), but may also have involvement in fit out packages;
- Analyse project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and materials required
- Calculate costs for labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services
- Prepare detailed estimates and submit bids for construction projects
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to review and discuss estimates
- Monitor project progress and costs to ensure adherence to budget constraints
- Utilise cost control techniques to manage expenses effectively

**Experience**:

- Proven experience working as an Estimator in the construction industry (minimum of 2-3 years experience)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Ability to work alone in a fast pace environment

You will be expected to travel overseas occasionally, and travel, accommodation and food allowance will be provided.
