About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Character Rigger to join our team at DNEG Group. As a key member of our animation department, you will be responsible for creating high-quality animation rigs for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement complex character rigs for feature film and television productions.
  • Collaborate with our animation team to ensure seamless integration of rigs with our animation pipeline.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our clients' needs and requirements.
  • Work closely with our R&D department to stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to junior team members.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in character rigging for feature film and television productions.
  • Thorough knowledge of character rigging principles and techniques.
  • Proficiency in Maya and other industry-standard software.
  • Strong understanding of animation principles and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with USD / Solaris / Houdini.
  • Knowledge of Facial Capture, MetaHuman, and other facial capturing tools.
  • Programming or scripting skills (i.e., MEL, Python, C++).
