About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Facial Rigger to join our team at DNEG, one of the world's leading visual effects and animation companies. As a Facial Rigger, you will be responsible for creating animation rigs for specialist characters, working closely with the CG Lead and Animation Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creation of animation rigs for specialist characters
  • Collaboration with the CG Lead and Animation Lead
  • Development of pipe-friendly rigs for texturing, grooming, lighting, and rendering
  • Implementation of proprietary tools to aid in creating animation rigs

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience with significant creature/character projects
  • Thorough knowledge of FACS and Animal FACS
  • Full working knowledge of Maya
  • Strong visual and artistic skills
  • Familiarity with pipeline issues and a typical character/creature-heavy post-production environment
  • Extensive understanding of human and animal anatomy
  • Understanding of the fundamental laws of physics
  • Fundamental animation knowledge
