About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Supervisor to join our team in Radio Operations. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient deployment of heavy equipment and personnel for radio broadcasts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise ad hoc teams of Rigger Drivers and freelance crews in undertaking the safe deployment, rigging, care, and testing of cables and infrastructure technical equipment and ancillary plant.
  • Operate power generators, including checking voltage and frequency, and ensure fuel and water supplies are maintained.
  • Assist in the assembly and operation of all radio OB equipment and carry portable sound equipment, including microphones, radio microphones, and radio backpacks.
  • Rig and operate telephones, radio talkback, and similar communications systems for inclusion in the program or production support activity.
  • Report defects and maintenance issues to the appropriate maintenance area.
Requirements
  • Current licensure and experience in driving Cat C+E LGV (Class I HGV).
  • Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) and a Driver Qualification Card.
  • Working knowledge of all relevant transport legislation and requirements.
  • Flexibility to undertake shifts as per the demands of the role.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to build and sustain working relationships within craft, resource, and production areas.
