We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Educational Support Specialist. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in Lancashire.
As an Educational Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students with a range of additional needs, including physical, emotional, and learning challenges. You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other healthcare professionals to implement personalised educational and health care strategies.
The ideal candidate will be a caring, patient, and proactive individual with a genuine interest in supporting students with SEN. Previous experience in a healthcare or educational support role is desirable, but not essential. Relevant qualifications in health and social care or special educational needs are preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide Personalised Care: Assist with daily living activities such as feeding, mobility, and personal care, ensuring the well-being of each student.
- Collaborate with Staff: Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and other healthcare professionals to implement personalised educational and health care strategies.
- Monitor Progress: Keep detailed records of students' progress and care needs, ensuring clear communication with the wider team.
