Position Overview

We are seeking an Information Security Advisor to join our team, with the opportunity to work from our offices. This role will primarily support clients across various regions, including the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia, Africa, and the Middle East, while also offering assistance to other EMEA countries. The Information Security Advisor will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) in cyber security, tasked with conducting cyber risk evaluations that encompass information security, physical security, and industrial control systems. The advisor may assist clients in interpreting risk assessment findings and validating their strategies to mitigate identified cyber risks. Additionally, the advisor will collaborate with the cyber team to enhance the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our products and services, gaining insights into the company's operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain trust with clients regarding cyber security matters.
  • Engage directly with clients to assess and comprehend their cyber risk landscape.
  • Collaborate with clients to interpret risk assessment outcomes and validate strategies for addressing specific cyber risks.
  • Provide specialized knowledge to account managers, engineers, and external clients on cyber risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • Partner with the cyber team to develop, implement, and refine cyber assessment tools, services, and business processes.
  • Facilitate internal training for client-facing personnel on fundamental cyber security practices, risks, and recommended mitigation strategies.
  • Act as an external representative for cyber initiatives and efforts.
  • Stay informed about industry standards and trends to maintain relevant expertise.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of experience in information technology, with a minimum of 5 years in the information/cyber security domain.
  • Familiarity with industrial control systems is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: security risk assessments, development of enterprise security policies, cyber security risk consulting, or incident management.
  • Strong understanding of operating systems and networks.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of computer vulnerabilities, hacker methodologies, and other threats.
  • Proficient in widely recognized cybersecurity risk frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, MITRE Att&ck) and their application within enterprise environments.
  • Experience with enterprise-level information security programs, including governance, risk assessment, policy/standards, technical controls, oversight and assurance, risk treatment, and security education/awareness.
  • Ability to utilize various trusted information sources (articles, webinars, internet) to acquire accurate and updated knowledge on cybersecurity and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with strong consultative abilities.
  • Solid interpersonal and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong collaboration and decision-making capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel regularly as required.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in French is advantageous.
