Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Director to lead our Flood Risk team. As a key member of our engineering consultancy, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering hydraulic modelling projects for our clients. With a strong background in flood risk consulting, you will provide technical guidance and support to our team, ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of hydraulic modelers and engineers to deliver flood risk assessments, flood alleviation schemes, and drainage strategies.
  • Develop and implement best practices for hydraulic modelling, ensuring that our projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with our clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in hydraulic modelling and industry trends, ensuring that our team is equipped with the latest knowledge and skills.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Geography, Civil or Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in flood risk consulting, with a strong background in hydraulic modelling.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and stakeholders.

What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary from £65,000 per year, dependent on experience.
