Job Opportunity
We are seeking a Technical Director with extensive experience in flood risk consulting to join our team. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated team of hydraulic modelers and engineers, providing guidance on 1D/2D hydraulic modelling techniques and delivering projects that meet client requirements. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and lead our hydraulic modelling efforts, driving innovation and contributing to the success of our projects related to water systems and infrastructure.

Responsibilities
- Validate and provide guidance on 1D/2D hydraulic modelling techniques to support flood risk assessments and alleviation schemes
- Work with our team of flood risk engineers and technicians to deliver projects that meet client requirements
- Provide technical support to others, ensuring designs and projects comply with relevant laws and regulations

Requirements
- Degree in Geography, Civil, or Environmental Engineering, or equivalent, with post-qualification experience enabling project delivery and leadership within an engineering consultancy
- Proven record of delivering flood alleviation schemes, flood risk assessments, and drainage strategies
- Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities
