Home Support Assistant

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at Linsell House as a Relief Worker on a zero-hour contract. As a Relief Worker, you will have the flexibility to choose hours and working patterns that suit you, while enjoying the benefits of working with Central Bedfordshire Council.
In Adult Services, we aim to promote independence and support individuals to make their own choices and become part of the community. Our Residential and Respite Services play a vital role in this, offering accommodation, overnight short breaks, and social opportunities to adults with Learning Disabilities. As a Relief Worker, you will help support these individuals to expand their knowledge and skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Supporting adults with Learning Disabilities to achieve their full potential
- Providing personal care and assistance with daily living tasks
- Working collaboratively with other agencies and families to ensure comprehensive support
You will work closely with our team at Linsell House to provide a safe, stimulating, and welcoming environment for our adults. We are situated in Dunstable, a town in Central Bedfordshire with excellent transport links, making it easy to commute from surrounding areas.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with people with disabilities in a relevant setting. You will possess excellent communication and listening skills, be adaptable and flexible, and able to build positive relationships with colleagues and service users. A NVQ Level 2 in Social Care or equivalent qualification would be beneficial, but not essential.
