Leeds City Council is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our employees and customers. As a Leisure and Recreation Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in promoting equal opportunities and health and safety within our facilities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in working with diverse groups of people, with a strong understanding of child protection and welfare issues. You will also possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.

We offer a competitive salary of £26,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a generous annual leave entitlement, we provide membership of the West Yorkshire Pension Fund with employer contributions.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instruction (Gym) or equivalent, as well as a Gym Instructor NVQ Level 2 or equivalent. You should also be able to work on your own initiative or as part of a team, with minimum supervision.

The successful candidate will contribute to the performance of our facility, ensuring that it offers a customer-focused service. You will also be responsible for promoting equal opportunities and health and safety within our facilities.
