PhD Studentship Opportunity

We are pleased to announce a PhD studentship in the Department of Psychiatry, University of Cambridge, as part of the UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship project. The project aims to develop digitally supported personalized prevention pathways for children's mental health services.

Project Overview

The PhD student will be part of a multidisciplinary team working on the Transforming Child Mental Health project. The project involves refining an existing blueprint, engaging with stakeholders, and co-developing detailed specifications for AI-driven digital tools. The student will investigate heterogeneous factors contributing to differences in neurodevelopmental and mental health conditions using large longitudinal datasets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop complex longitudinal models to explore the correlation and interaction of various factors
  • Co-develop detailed specifications for AI-driven digital tools
  • Validate the developed tools to ensure equity in care delivery
Requirements

We seek candidates with a good degree in a relevant discipline, such as engineering, computer science, genetics, mathematics, psychology, biology, medicine, neuroscience, or biochemistry. The ideal candidate will have skills in handling large-scale datasets, longitudinal modelling, electronic health records, AI, and machine learning.

What We Offer

The studentship will provide a stipend for the 3-year duration of the award, covering fees for home students in full, along with modest funding for research running costs and travel to scientific conferences.
