Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Recycling Operator to join our team at Sibelco's Newhouse Glass Recycling site. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating mobile equipment, conducting quality control testing, and performing manual tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our recycling process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate mobile equipment, including forklift trucks and loading shovels, to move materials and products around the site.
  • Conduct quality control testing and reporting to ensure the quality of our products.
  • Perform manual tasks, such as cleaning and maintenance, to support the production process.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members, including weighbridge operators and bagging operators, to ensure continuous production.
  • Enter production data into our IT system to track and analyze our performance.
  • Ensure the safe use of personal protective equipment and take responsibility for its maintenance and conservation.
  • Operate a variety of mobile equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Work as part of a multi-skilled team on a rotating shift pattern.
  • Conduct quality control tasks to ensure the quality of our products.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will also need to be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
