Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Recycling Operator to join our team at Sibelco's Newhouse Glass Recycling site. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating mobile equipment, conducting quality control testing, and performing manual tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate mobile equipment, including forklift trucks and loading shovels, to support the production process.
  • Conduct quality control testing and reporting to ensure the quality of our products.
  • Perform auxiliary tasks to support the production process, including maintenance activities and manual tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members, including weighbridge operators and bagging operators, to ensure continuous production.
  • Enter production data into our IT system and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure the safe use of personal protective equipment and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Operate a variety of mobile equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Work as part of a multi-skilled team on a rotating shift pattern.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to operate mobile equipment and conduct quality control testing.
  • Basic maintenance skills and ability to assist maintenance technicians.
  • Ability to work a rotating shift pattern.
