Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Recycling Operator to join our team at Sibelco's Newhouse Glass Recycling site. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating mobile equipment, conducting quality control testing, and performing manual tasks to ensure the efficient and safe operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate mobile equipment, including forklift trucks and loading shovels, to move materials and products within the facility.
  • Conduct quality control testing and reporting to ensure the quality of our products.
  • Perform manual tasks, such as cleaning and maintenance, to support the production process.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members, including weighbridge operators and bagging operators, to ensure continuous production.
  • Enter production data into our IT system to track and analyze our operations.
  • Ensure the safe use of personal protective equipment and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Operate a variety of mobile equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Work as part of a multi-skilled team on a rotating shift pattern.
  • Conduct quality control tasks to ensure the quality of our products.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or industry.
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software.
