Lead Social Care Specialist

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Lead Social Care Specialist to join our Assessment and Intervention Service at Slough Children First.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality social work services, producing outcome-based plans that reflect the needs of and risks to children and their families. You will develop effective relationships with children, young people, and their families to improve the impact of work and determine the level of service available.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality social work services on allocated cases.
  • Develop effective relationships with children, young people, and their families.
  • Determine how the needs of children and their families will be met subject to resources, statutory responsibilities, within the framework of council policies and procedures.
  • Participate in routine auditing activity across the service to secure the highest possible standards of social work practice and record keeping.
Requirements
  • Social Work England registered social worker with a professional social work qualification, or equivalent.
  • Significant demonstrable experience in social work.
  • Ability to write reports to a high standard.
  • Understanding of children and families legal framework and assessment process.
Salary

£35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
