Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Social Care Specialist to join our Safeguarding Team in Slough. The salary for this role is up to £42,839 per annum.

Main Duties
  • Carefully assess and plan support for individuals with complex needs, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, policies, and guidelines.
  • Identify areas where families may require assistance to prevent relationship breakdown and safeguard vulnerable children.
  • Build effective relationships with professionals to deliver comprehensive support to individuals, families, and communities.
  • Undertake thorough safeguarding assessments and investigations to protect children from harm.
  • Develop alternative care plans for children unable to live with their parents or caregivers.
  • Foster autonomy and growth in individuals with complex social needs.
  • Record case activities accurately and engage in strategic planning forums.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to social work students or newly qualified professionals.
  • Empower communities, families, and individuals to leverage their strengths and resources.

To succeed in this role, you will need a Social Work Qualification or equivalent, as well as ongoing professional development and registration with Social Work England.
