Job Overview:
Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join its Children's Services team. This newly developed post offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a dynamic team, providing assessment, treatment, and advice to children and young adults aged 0-19 with complex speech, language, and communication needs.

About the Role:
This challenging role requires strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of complex cases within the Children's Speech and Language Therapy Team, using evidence-based and child-centred principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intervention. Additionally, they will work directly with children and indirectly through their parents/carers and education colleagues, upskilling them in the child/young person's programme and appropriate strategies to provide the required daily support.

Requirements:
To be considered for this role, applicants must have a recognised SLT degree or equivalent, be a RCSLT member, and hold HCPC membership. They should also possess relevant post-graduate experience, including working with chosen areas of specialism, and have effective written and verbal communication skills. In-depth experience of working with a range of different children, using a range of therapeutic approaches, is desirable.

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
