Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated clinician to join our Community Dental Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to adults and children in line with the Welsh Health Circular (WHC/2022/22). The role involves working across various sites, dependent on service needs, and requires excellent communication and organisational skills.

Main Responsibilities

The post holder will be expected to treat a wide range of patients, including those with special care needs. The service is currently involved with supervision of Dental Core Trainees Years 1 and 2, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills in training and teaching.

The Community Dental Service is a dynamic team providing the full range of community dentistry, and the successful candidate will work alongside other dentists, including specialists in Special Care and Paediatric dentistry, dental therapists and hygienists.

Requirements
  • Successful completion of Vocational Training/Foundation Training
  • Full GDC Registration
  • Performer Number
  • Experience of working within a Primary Care Setting
  • Experience of working with special care groups
  • Experience of Paediatric Dentistry
  • Experience of training/teaching undergraduates/foundation trainees
