About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Community Dental Officer to join our team at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. As a key member of our Community Dental Service, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality clinical care to adults and children in line with the Welsh Health Circular (WHC/2022/22).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care to patients across various sites, working closely with other dentists, specialists, and healthcare professionals.
  • Support the development of personal professional interests that align with the Community Dental Service.
  • Contribute to the supervision of Dental Core Trainees and participate in the Welsh Government oral health improvement initiative, 'Designed to Smile', and epidemiology surveys.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to deliver high-quality patient care and achieve excellent clinical outcomes.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of Vocational Training/Foundation Training.
  • Full GDC Registration and Performer Number.
  • Experience of working within a Primary Care Setting, with special care groups, and in Paediatric Dentistry.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a flexible approach to work.
  • A driving licence is essential for this role.
