About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Community Dental Officer to join our dynamic team at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. As a key member of our Community Dental Service, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality clinical care to adults and children in line with the Welsh Health Circular (WHC/2022/22).

Key Responsibilities
  • Treat a wide range of patients, including those with special care needs.
  • Work collaboratively with other dentists, dental therapists, and hygienists to provide comprehensive community dentistry services.
  • Develop and implement clinical audit to ensure high standards of care.
  • Contribute to the supervision of Dental Core Trainees and provide training and teaching to undergraduates and foundation trainees.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of Vocational Training/Foundation Training.
  • Full GDC Registration and Performer Number.
  • Experience of working within a Primary Care Setting, including experience of working with special care groups.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a flexible approach towards work.
