We are seeking a specialist Paediatrician to join our team as a key member in conducting autism assessments for children and adolescents aged 5-18.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering clinical excellence for every child and young person. They will conduct comprehensive developmental histories, observe children during sessions, and provide feedback to families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive developmental histories using preferred methods/tools to evaluate children undergoing autism assessments.
  • Observing the child/young person during sessions and ensuring questions are asked in an age-appropriate and compassionate manner.
  • Formulating a diagnosis, concluding the assessment, and providing feedback to the family in a kind, age-appropriate, and compassionate manner, including recommendations and signposting to local/national resources.
  • Producing high-quality, detailed diagnostic reports within 48 hours post-assessment, adhering to DSM-5 criteria and report templates. (Admin support for formatting and quality control is provided).
  • Requesting onward referrals as clinically necessary, in line with local NHS Trust/ICB protocols.

Our Clinics

  • We offer flexible working hours, with availability 7 days a week to suit your lifestyle (subject to the Working Time Directive).
  • Up to four appointments per day, paid on a competitive per assessment tariff.
  • CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry preferred, but not essential.

  • Competitive per assessment rates, outside IR35 (£150-£200 per hour).
  • A free CPD session for further neurodevelopmental assessments, such as ADHD.
