About the Role

As a Senior Adult Community Mental Health Specialist at Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will be based at Parklands House in Basingstoke. You will become part of a team of experienced professionals working in the community.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a centre of excellence within the Wessex research network. You will have the chance to work with a diverse programme of high-quality multi-professional courses, involving national and international experts.

The post holder will participate in the Consultants' Development Programme, which provides a tailored development plan and coaching throughout their first year with the trust. This will include organisational understanding and opportunities for training in quality improvement methodologies.

You will also have protected off-site time for Continuing Professional Development (CPD), which can be incorporated as part of your job planning process. Additionally, you will enjoy free parking at many of our sites.

The consultant group is relatively small but cohesive and supportive, meeting weekly with colleagues from Adult Mental Health and Older Persons Mental Health. There is a strong peer support and clinical focus, alongside business and service development agendas.

Access to an excellent local Postgraduate Academic Programme will cater to your CPD requirements. A monthly Balint Group for Senior Medical staff is also available, focusing on Older Person's Mental Health - Community.

Requirements

  • Registration with the General Medical Council with a licence to practice is required. A CCT in General Adult Psychiatry or Old Age Psychiatry, or MRCPsych, or recognised equivalent, is essential for this post.

What We Offer

Salary: £83,002 - £112,000 per annum
