About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as we embark on a transformation journey to improve and expand our services. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will provide expert clinical leadership to the team, working closely with colleagues to deliver seamless care across our region.
You will be based at Parklands Hospital, where you will work in our newly refurbished single-sex 18-bedded acute wards. The role involves providing clinical care and treatment to up to 12 patients per WTE post, spread between two wards. This includes taking responsibility for RC duties and leading the team to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality clinical care to patients in our acute psychiatric inpatient wards.
- Take responsibility for RC duties and contribute to the smooth running of the wards.
- Provide clinical leadership to the team, supporting the development of new initiatives and projects.
- Maintain accurate records and participate in audit and quality improvement activities.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about delivering excellent patient care. If you have a strong track record of leadership and collaboration, we encourage you to apply for this challenging and rewarding role.
In return, we offer a competitive salary package, including a generous basic salary of £85,000 - £115,000, depending on experience. You will also receive a range of benefits, including support with housing costs and relocation assistance of up to £8,000. Person Specification- Full Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and MRCPsych or recognised equivalent qualification.
- CCT in General Adult Psychiatry and approved under section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act 1983.
