About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Talent Development Specialist to join our team at Legal & General Resources Limited. As a key member of our Retail People Development Team, you will play a critical role in delivering our Retail Future Talent strategy, including apprenticeship upskilling, work experience, internships, and graduate programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of Retail's approach to future talent, including internal and external apprenticeships, placements, work experience, graduate programs, and People Development.
  • Contribute to the development of a strategic, innovative, and effective Retail People Development strategy that identifies and implements key solutions to develop critical talent required today and in the future.
  • Effectively manage administrative activities within the Retail People Development Team to ensure efficiencies and effectiveness of team delivery, including managing bookings, attendance, and evaluation data, and presenting and reporting on these on a regular basis.
  • Provide key stakeholders with relevant updates, key successes, learnings, and additional suitable solutions, remaining focused on the value provided from solutions for Retail, colleagues, and future talent requirements.
  • As a future talent subject expert, provide advice, guidance, and expertise to ensure the effective application of future talent solutions across Retail.
  • Gather insight and feedback to identify improvements that can be made to future talent solutions to ensure continuous improvement remains a priority and the experience for both colleagues and business remains positive.
  • Support the identification and design of solutions that give sufficient emphasis to the need for customers to understand that fair treatment is central to Retail's culture.
Requirements
  • CIPD - Learning and Development (Diploma) - desirable.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, internally and at external meetings with suppliers, awarding bodies, and professional entities.
  • Proven ability to project plan and react flexibly when priorities change, with the ability to innovate and be an agent of change.
  • Stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence others both internally and externally.
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders including senior leaders.
  • Proven ability to evaluate individual and group understanding and provide individually tailored solutions based on training needs analysis, effectively balancing customer and business requirements and outcomes.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships and networks, and collaborate externally and internally.
