Key Responsibilities:
  • Report and Dashboard Development:
    • Design and develop interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI.
    • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and data models.

  • Data Modeling:
    • Develop and optimize data models to support reporting and analytics.
    • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reports and dashboards.
    • Implement data transformations using Power Query (M language) and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
  • Collaboration and Requirements Gathering:
    • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their reporting and analytics needs.
    • Conduct requirements gathering sessions and document specifications.
    • Provide training and support to end-users on how to use Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Data Integration:
    • Integrate data from various sources, including databases, cloud services, and APIs.
    • Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to load data into Power BI.
    • Ensure data is updated regularly and accurately.
  • Performance Tuning:
    • Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance and scalability.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues.
    • Implement best practices for data visualization and report development.
  • Security and Compliance:
    • Implement and maintain data security and access controls within Power BI.
    • Ensure compliance with data governance and privacy policies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, and Power BI Service.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
  • Experience with SQL and database management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Microsoft Power BI certification is a plus.
