Job Title: Senior Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join our dynamic team at Jackson Civil Engineering. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a key role in progressing the construction process and assisting in delivering projects.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Undertake day-to-day setting out duties with minimal supervision
  • Train, manage, and mentor Junior Engineers
  • Manage and monitor site sample/performance testing requirements and maintain records in line with the contract specification
  • Complete hazard/risk assessments and method statements
  • Manage site service plans/drawings and issue permits accordingly
  • Assist the site QS/Project Manager with providing relevant information for records and claims purposes
  • Monitor and control temporary works
  • Develop and maintain relations with clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors
  • Ensure all work complies with quality, safety, and environmental policies and company procedures
Requirements:
  • Experience in heavy civils with a main contractor, including highways and structures schemes
  • CSCS card and a suitable qualification in civil engineering (minimum HND) and ICE membership
  • SMSTS and SSSTS certifications
  • First Aid at work qualification and a Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Training in confined spaces
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel throughout the region
