Career Opportunity: Site Agent

We are seeking an experienced Site Agent to join our Highways Division, working on a wide range of projects including expansion joint renewals, bearing replacements, and refurbishment of corbel/drainage channel detail.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage site staff operatives and sub-contractors
  • Provide method statements, hazard risk assessments, and project management plans
  • Understand tender allowances and monitor contract costs against agreed budgets
  • Prepare and monitor programmes of work
  • Assess and engage sub-contractors
  • Manage design co-ordination
  • Manage contracts to ensure timely and profitable completion of contracts
  • Inform, consult, and involve local groups as necessary
  • Foster good relations and reputation with clients
  • Understand and administer contract change
Requirements:
  • Relevant industry qualification (HND/HNC/BEng) or equivalent
  • Up-to-date SMSTS qualification and appropriate CSCS card
  • First Aid at work qualification desirable
  • Experience of managing civil engineering projects with a main contractor
  • Previous experience on Highways, Earthworks, and Structures
  • Eligible to live and work in the UK and hold a full UK driving licence
