Senior Engineer Job Opportunity

We are working with a leading main contractor to find an experienced Senior Engineer for their Highways Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for progressing the construction process and assisting in delivering projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with site management to complete quality take offs and ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Develop awareness of potential commercial opportunities and issues with the project.
  • Conduct hazard/risk assessments and method statements, and alert relevant personnel to control measures and work methods.
  • Carry out relevant inspections and testing to ensure conformance of the works with the design and specification.
  • Train, manage, and mentor junior engineers.
  • Manage sectional setting out requirements on site and sectional service plans/drawings.
  • Assist the QS/Project Manager with providing relevant information for records and claims purposes.
  • Manage the as-built requirements of your section and contribute to the completion of the site health and safety file.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Senior Engineer or Section Engineer for a main contractor.
  • Experience in the civils sector working with NEC forms of contract.
  • Computer literate, including the use of CAD.
  • CSCS.
  • Hold a relevant qualification, such as a BSc/HND/HNC in Civil Engineering.
  • A minimum of 4 years of setting out experience working on infrastructure projects, including Highways, Rail, and Commercial Buildings.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • First Aid (desirable).
  • Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
