Job Opportunity: Senior Highway Engineer

At Jackson Civil Engineering, we are a dynamic and innovative company that values our clients' needs and delivers high-quality projects. We are seeking an experienced Senior Highway Engineer to join our team and contribute to the success of our highway civil engineering schemes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Progress the construction process and assist in delivering the project.
  • Undertake day-to-day setting out duties with minimal supervision.
  • Manage and monitor site sample/performance testing requirements and maintain records in line with the contract specification.
  • Complete hazard/risk assessments and method statements.
  • Assist the site QS/Project Manager with providing relevant information for records and claims purposes.
  • Develop and maintain relations with clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors.
  • Ensure all work complies with quality, safety, and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures.

Requirements:

  • Experience in heavy civils with a main contractor, including highways and structures schemes.
  • Knowledge of Civil3D, AutoCAD, and MS Project.
  • CSCS card and a suitable qualification in civil engineering, minimum requirement HND.
  • ICE membership, SMSTS, and SSSTS.
  • A First Aid at work qualification and a Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Training in confined spaces.
  • A full UK driving license.
