About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Rent and Service Charge Manager to join our Finance team at Estuary Housing Association. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of our Rent and Service Charge function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and Deliver the Annual Rent Increase Process: Ensure that the Association's annual rent increase process is coordinated and delivered efficiently and effectively.
  • Calculate, Prepare, and Set Service Charge Budgets: Calculate, prepare, and set all Service Charge budgets to ensure that they are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Identify and Set Rent and Service Charges on Newly Developed Schemes: Identify and set Rent and Service Charges on newly developed schemes and provide advice on Service Charge issues.
  • Ensure Compliance with Legal Deadlines and Contractual Agreements: Ensure that all Rent and Service Charges comply with relevant legal deadlines and contractual agreements.
  • Manage and Oversee Rent Accounts: Manage and oversee Rent Accounts to ensure that they are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Assist with Customer Queries, Complaints, and Disputes: Assist with the resolution of Customer queries, complaints, and disputes related to Rent and Service Charges.
  • Prepare and Deliver Service Charge Statements and Accounts: Prepare and deliver Service Charge Statements and Accounts to Customers.
Requirements
  • Recognised Financial Qualification: Possess a recognised financial qualification, such as CIMA or AAT.
  • Strong Financial and Numerical Skills: Demonstrate strong financial and numerical skills, including proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
  • Experience Leading and Managing a Rent and Service Charge Team: Have experience leading and managing a Rent and Service Charge team.
  • Understanding of Rent Accounts and Service Charge Statements: Have a good understanding of how Rent Accounts and Service Charge Statements work.
  • Strong Organisational Skills: Demonstrate strong organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Experience Working with Customers: Have experience working with Customers, including resolving queries and complaints.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills, including the ability to write clear and concise reports.
  • Knowledge of Procurement and Contract Management: Have knowledge of procurement and contract management, including the ability to lead a Section 20 process.
